Hey everyone.
I am so excited to share about my newest adventure… clipart! :)  I have been wanting to try to make my own clipart for a long time and this week I FINALLY posted my first few sets.  I love them :).  I have had so much fun drawing this week thanks to our 4 snow days.

Here are my first few sets… the first two are FREEBIES!

These are the rest of my sets :).

You can click on any of the pictures to see that clipart set in my TPT shop!

I hope you like them :).

My Classroom Family Tree!

Hey everyone,

I found the cutest idea on Pinterest for a classroom family tree.  I thought it was so adorable, so I thought I would try to make one for my class.  I drew a picture of each student separate and a tree... so then I could move them around independently until I thought it looked right.  I'm so excited about how it turned out! I'm going to give my students a black and white copy for Valentine's Day so they can color it like a coloring page :).

Here was my inspiration...
This adorable classroom family tree is from First Grade Fabulous Fish.

Here is my classroom family tree that I drew for my kiddos!

I made a duplicate of this picture and put each students name next to their picture, incase they can't tell which one is them. :)

I'm so excited! I think it turned out pretty cute... and I know my kiddos are going to flip when they see it.  I was going to color it for them, but the more I thought about it, I liked the idea of letting each student color their own.  :)

Enjoy!

Another Clipart Attempt... Need some honest feedback

Hey everyone,

So I have decided to try and make a few clipart images that I can use for some visual directions and other things.  As you will be able to tell, I'm new to this.  :)  I like to doodle for fun, so I thought I'd see if I could turn the doodles into something I could actually use.  Here are some of the images I've done so far...  I need some honest feedback! :)

Enjoy!

A Quick Question...

Hey everyone!

I have been wanting to make a passport template for my students to use during our country study.  I made a couple of quick pictures (they aren't done yet so don't judge me :) ) for the front of the passport but can't decide which one to use.  Here's my question... which picture do you think would be better for the front of the students' passports?

Here is picture 1:

Here is picture 2:

So which picture would look best on the front of a passport?  Or, do you think a different picture would work better?  I would love to hear your all's thoughts!

I really appreciate any and all feedback and help!

Thank you all!

Attempt #2...

Hey everyone,
Okay, here is my second attempt at doodling my husband and I.  This is a lot harder than I thought it would be...

The markers I'm using are horrible and make the lines look funny... and I still haven't figured out how color them on the computer.  I know these are not great, but I really am really enjoying doodling them. :)  Any help or tips are welcome!

Clipart Help...

Hey everyone!

I love drawing for fun, so I decided I would see if I could upload a doodle like a little clipart image.  I thought it'd be fun to do a few doodles that I could use on some worksheets or posters I make.  I know they're not super, but they sure do make me smile :)!

Here is my attempt at making my husband and myself.  :)
I just can't figure out how to color it.  I thought I could color it on my computer rather than doing it with markers.  Does anybody know how to color your own clipart image.... without any fancy computer programs?  Also, what kinds of pens should I use when drawing my pictures?  I used a sharpie but it the lines don't look all that great on the computer.  I'd love any help or tips!! :)

Thanks!

I'm a Melonhead!

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited!  This morning I got on my computer to check my e-mail and what was waiting for me? My very own melonhead  made by the wonderful and talented Nikki at Melonheadz Illustrating.   Nikki you did the most amazing job!  With only a picture and some really unclear ideas from me, you made the perfect melonhead for me, and you even included my precious little Paisley :).  Thank you so much!

If you have not yet checked out Melonheadz Illustrating, I would highly recommend you do ASAP.  You will love her adorable clipart!  Also check out her Etsy shop and TeachersNotebook shop.

Thanks for my wonderful melonhead!  It is now my profile picture on here, as well as at my little TPT and TeachersNotebook shops. :)  I just love it!
